Supplies Used:
Chipboard
Brads
Ribbon

Well, a friend of mine actually made the book for me about a year ago.  I had it in my stash and while working on Christmas Cards today I ran across it.  I was sitting here reading emails and decided to work on it.  It took me a little while to figure out what I wanted to do.  I took it apart so I could completely cover the front/back covers.  However, I am very pleased with how it turned out.  I am going to print some old photos that I have found while doing my heritage search and put them inside the album and then journal about the photos and where they came from and who the are.

CHRISTMAS... "Just around the corner"

I love Snowmen!  The are just so darn cute!  So, I used up what card's I had left and made these adorable snowmen cards for Christmas.  There is a Craft Bizzare coming up, so thought I would whip up a stash of christmas cards and see if I could make a few extra $$$$!

Marguee Challenge at Frosted Designs

"Life gives you many reasons to smile".
Marguee
Well, spent the day at home with my sick child, so I worked on making cards.  Seem's like card making is my new found interest in scrapbooking.  I think I like them because it dont take as much time to complete one as it does a layout.  However, I'm not giving up on layouts all together, so dont worry.  I thought and thought and couldn't figure out anything for the challenge.  So I just started making cards.  After I was finished, left for school and WOW!  I had a thought.... enter this one.  So here it is.  I have been playing around with my stamps that I have had for a while and have not used...

Digital-Ink Co " "Fall Ya'll Challenge

Fall is my favorite season....
While going through everyone's blog updates ran across "Digital-Ink's" Fall Challenge.  So After making coffee and getting my favorite blank to wrap up in I sat down and decided to take a stab at it.  Cards are not my "Norm", in fact this is only my 4th card to make.  The stamp kit I used is by "Inkadinkado"  #96624 Tree.  It was the first time I had used it and I really like it.  This was perfect to do for this morning, because it is cold, wet and raining outside.

Supplies:  "Indadinkado" Stamp #96624, We R Memory Keepers Note Card,  Tan and White Card stock, newspaper, Ribbon with slide tag.

The Accident....

"The Story Begin's"..... I woke my usually early time around 5:30 am and made coffee.... I then sat at my computer to check my email and I had run across "Digital-Ink's" Fall Challenge.  It sparked my creative energy this morning and off I went...

Early morning creativity hard at work, while all the little children's sleep....

As you can see my youngest son  "Dustin" is having to use his "First Aid" training skills from Boy Scouts to assist me this morning while my creative energy was hard at work....

THE REASON!

"ProvoCraft Silent Setter + my Stitch puncher  = First Aid Kit
Even though I had a little set back and had to obtain medical assistance from a 13 yr old, I was able to complete my project. (See Below)  Lesson Learned:  You can not use SHARP,  POINTY, object to remove paper from my very small setter attachment... "Will I try it again", off course!

"HAPPY HOLIDAYS"
Was the project I was working on when I injured my self.

Supplies:  White and Black card stock of choice, Heidi Swapp-Edge Distressing tool, Choice of Black and White Inks,  "Red, Green, Brown and Black Vellum Writers", Gold and Clear Glitter Pen and brads.

MY CARD COLLECTION

Well, as you can see I did a little playing around with my supplies tonight.  This is first time in a very long time that I have been so inspired thanks to all you wonderful, creative people out there.  I altered my first card tonight... "HOWDY" (see top left photo for altered card and click on the word "HOWDY" to see the first version).  I really wasn't totally happy with the first one, so I created this one tonight.  I tore the top section of the card off and trimmed it down and layered it on top of another notecard and then added a few star brads for a little more "Cowgirl Bling".  I am happy with this outcome.  Let me know what you think... I love "Constructive"  critisim and suggestions to make my art pop!  So dont be affraid to let me know.

Cowgirl.....

Supplies used:  We R Memory Keepers Note Cards, Stickles by Ranger "Magenta", Sparkle Gelly Roll Ren, Zig Writer: "Candy Pink" & "Pure Black", Creative Imaginations Epoxy Stickers, Cowgirl Stamp

I broke out my stamp and ink box tonight and found my FAVORITE stamp... I just had to play with it and create something... so this is my creation!

Card #2

Supplies Used:  Deco Sissors, "We R Memory Makers" Note Card from the Comstock Collection, Stickles by Ranger in Cinnamon and Candy Cane
Well came home with intentions on entering a challenge with this card.  However, I found this over at Beary Dust Stamps Blog and can't locate the url now.  On top of that realized that you had to use one of their stamps and I DON'T have one.  So, I just made my own version and here it is.  I had just got home from work and class and needed something to unwind and this was just the ticket.  It's simple, but it's only m y second one... I've always done 12x12 layouts and want to branch out so this is my effort.......!

LOVE OF MY LIFE

April 20th, 2008
"My Birthday Trail Ride"
Alvord, TX

Supplies Used:
1.  Zutter Bind-it-All Cover
2.  2 Pieces of Bazzle Card Stock
      * Black
       *Brown
3.  a scrap piece of bandana material
4.  a Bohemia transfer title rub-on by Mind's Eye
5.  a expoxy sticker by Creative Imaginations
6.  Mod Podge

I took the brown card stock and glued to the cover and placed under my glass mate for about 1 hour so it could dry flat.  Next I choose my photo and then found a coordnating paper.  The scrap piece of material was just for accent and texture and depth.  You could use other papers if you'd like.  I then found accents to go along with what I wanted.  This project took me about 1 hours (with drying time).

How it all got started....

I guess before I get started in all this hoop-la, I out to start with a story and how all this scrapbooking craze for me got started. In October 2007 my cousing came down from Michigan and brought several items for me. The First was two scrapbooks that she had created for me about my Faleris Family and "My Bridge" that for years seemed like a childhood fantasy that I had dreamed up.

During her visit she and I began a book of her trip to Texas and she began to teach me how to scrapbook. While here in Texas, I took them to Oklahoma City and showed them some sites. My future sister in law was very gracious to take the day off to show my family around town and at the end of the day she had a suprise for me. She had went to a Scrapbook Garage sale at her local scrapbook shop in town the weekend prior. While there, she ran across a steal on a Creative Memories Bag and called her brother and told him he was buying it for me. Along with the bag, was a BoyScout Album for my son who is in scouts for me to scrap, some papers and odds and ends. She laughs because she said I looked at her like..."How will I ever fill this up"! Well, it is; along with several other bags. To say the least, it's addicting....
